15th ROVER OXFORD ANNUAL HOCKEY FESTIVAL – 21/22 APRIL 2007

The 15th Annual Hockey Festival will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 April. This year we are pleased to announce that the festival will be held at Cokethorpe School, Witney which has two astroturfs set in fantastic grounds.

Saturday 21 April 2007
Under 8’s, 10’s (am) and 12’s (pm). 7 a side on half a pitch.

Sunday 22 April 2007
Under 14 boys (am), 16 boys and 16 girls (pm). 9 a side on the whole pitch

Multiple entries for all age groups are welcome but we will confirm once we have received all the applications. U12 and U14 are likely to be oversubscribed.

Please make sure your players and coaches are available before submitting a team. It is very hard on us and the other teams if you pull out at short notice.

The Festival will consist of a 'round robin' of the participating sides with a straight final. Semi finals will only be played if time permits. Trophies and certificates will be presented to the winners and runners-up. Again this year the Sunday umpires will be awarding a ‘Fair Play’ trophy to the team in each age group that displays the best sportsmanship.

The entrance fee for each team is £25.00. This includes five free programmes. A food tent will be available on the day, although you may prefer to bring along your own packed lunches as the grounds are ideal for picnics if the weather is good. John Bosworth will again be on hand with his well stocked hockey stand. The school is kindly donating bottles of water for all participants.

If you would like to participate, please complete and return the entry form with your fee as soon as possible and no later than the 25th February.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. I will confirm entries by email so please make sure I have your correct address.
